Quick Start

Get Bridge running and your first printer connected in under 5 minutes.

1. Launch Bridge

Open the PrintHQ Bridge app (or start the Docker container). The Bridge web UI opens automatically.

If the UI doesn't open, navigate to http://localhost:9876 in your browser.

2. Log In

Sign in with your PrintHQ account. This links Bridge to your cloud dashboard so printer data syncs automatically.

Don't have an account yet? Create one here — it's free.

3. Discover or Add a Printer

Auto-Discovery

Bridge automatically scans your network for supported printers. Discovered printers appear in the Discovery section at the top of the page. Click Add on any discovered printer to add it instantly.

TIP

Bambu Lab and Elegoo printers are discovered automatically via network broadcast. You'll still need to enter the LAN Access Code for Bambu printers.

Manual Setup

Click Add Printer and fill in:

  • Name — A friendly name (e.g., "Office X1C")
  • Platform — Select your printer brand/type
  • IP Address — Your printer's local IP address
  • Additional fields — Depending on the platform (serial number, access code, API key, etc.)

Finding your printer's IP

Check your printer's touchscreen under network/WiFi settings, or look at your router's DHCP client list.

4. Connect

Click Save and Bridge connects to your printer. You should see the status change to Connected with live temperature and status data flowing in.

To sync your printer to the PrintHQ cloud dashboard:

  1. Open your printer page in the PrintHQ Dashboard
  2. Copy the Printer Code (starts with phq_printer_)
  3. In Bridge, paste the code into the Link to Dashboard field on the printer card

Once linked, your printer appears in the dashboard with real-time telemetry, camera streaming, and remote control.

What You Get

Once connected, Bridge provides:

  • Real-time telemetry — Temperatures, fan speeds, print progress, layer tracking
  • Camera streaming — Live camera feed relayed to your dashboard (Bambu, FlashForge, Elegoo)
  • Remote printing — Upload and start prints from the dashboard
  • AI failure detection — Automatic detection of spaghetti, warping, stringing, blobs, and under-extrusion
  • Print tracking — Automatic filament usage logging and print history
  • Object exclusion — Skip failed objects mid-print without canceling (Bambu, Klipper)
